9600/300 accelerated to 450

PowerMac 9600/300

Released in 1997, the PowerMac 9600/300 came in a huge case, with the floppy drive, CD ROM drive and ZIP drive from top to bottom. Further slots were left to be filled. As SCSI drives or PCI cards or DRAM DIMM slots. The CPU is a PowerPC 604ev Mach V with a huge heat sink mounted on top. When replacing this CPU with a G3 accelerator, the size of the faster accelerator card is only half of that of the original CPU card.
